Damen Books Order for Two More F126 Frigates for German Navy
Dutch naval shipbuilder Damen Naval has signed a contract with the Procurement Organization of the German Armed Forces (BAAINBw) to supply two additional multipurpose frigates to German Navy, bringing the total to six F126 vessels.The first frigate is due to be delivered in 2028. Ship five and six will be delivered in 2033 and 2034 respectively.The construction of the two additional F126 frigates will take place entirely in Germany.
UK’s Portland Port Orders Damen’s Tug

Multraship Christens New Damen ASD Tug
Multraship Towage & Salvage has christened its newest tug, Multratug 35, at its home port of Terneuzen, the Netherlands.The vessel is a Damen ASD Tug 3212. Damen and Multraship signed the contract for the vessel – together with a second, identical ASD Tug 3212 – in June last year. Prior to the contract, Damen had already commenced construction on the tugs as part of its practice of building standard vessels for stock.
Damen Delivers Third Low-Emission Offshore Wind Fast Crew Boat to Purus
Damen Shipyards has delivered the third fast crew supplier (FCS) hybrid vessel to Purus, designed to provide low emission crew transfer services to the offshore wind sector.The vessels are fitted with 190 kW battery arrays that enable them to sail zero emissions while in harbor and when loitering at offshore wind farms.In addition to their hybrid capabilities, the FCS 2710 Hybrids are IMO Tier III compliant, with significantly reduced NOX and SOX emissions.
