Japan-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, (MOL) and Taiwan-based Ta Tong Marine Co. have through their joint venture Ta San Shang Marine Co. Ltd. DMC Inks Deal to Equip Chilean Navy Ships
Wärtsilä has awarded Damen Marine Components (DMC) a contract to provide steering equipment to two Landing Platform Docks (LPD) of the Chilean Navy being built at ASMAR. A keel-laying ceremony was held for two Ulstein-designed offshore wind service operation vessels (SOV) on Wednesday at the ZPMC yard.Shanghai Electric, a Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, ordered the two vessels of the Ulstein SX195 and SX197 designs.The SX195 is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2023, while the SX197 is expected to be delivered in early 2024.The vessels offer accommodation for 60 POB and 100 POB respectively.
Kommer Damen Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
During the Maritime Awards Gala in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Kommer Damen was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his achievements, methods and contribution to the Dutch maritime industry.
