ADNOC Logistics & Services Acquires Six Stan Tugs from Damen
ADNOC Logistics & Services has acquired six line boats to provide critical marine services across petroleum ports in Abu Dhabi. The company, the shipping and maritime logistics branch of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), said all the vessels are of the Damen Stan Tug 1606 type and were contracted directly from Sharjah-based Albwardy Damen.The steel-hulled, twin-screw vessels are powered by two Caterpillar engines providing nearly 16 tonnes of bollard pull.

At Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, a new model in the Damen Shoalbuster range -- the ultra-shallow Shoalbuster 3514 SD -- was christened Brutus by Mrs Mandy Heere-van Eijk, on behalf of tug and workboat company, Herman Sr.The Shoalbuster 3514 SD measures is 35 x 14 m with a free deck space of 150 sq. m. The vessel has a draft t of 2.85m at full tank capacity and just 2.45m at 50%, allowing it access to waters inaccessible to other vessels of a similar size and capability.

Maritime classification society ABS has granted its Approval in Principle for Damen Shipyard's Fast Crew Supplier 2710 crew transfer vessel aimed for deployment in the U.S. offshore wind industry.To achieve approval, Damen has modified the design of its standard FCS 2710 to meet the US requirements. Damen Shipyards Group and the German Bundesamt fur Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr on Friday signed the contract for the construction of four MKS-180 frigates for the German Navy. BC Ferries’ Hybrid-electric Newbuilds Enter Service
Canadian ferry operator BC Ferries said its newest vessel, Island Aurora, officially entered service Thursday on the Port McNeill - Alert Bay - Sointula (Vancouver Island-Cormorant Island-Malcolm Island) route.
