Damen Delivers the Patrol Boat Valiant

On April 29, 2004, Damen Shipyards Gorinchem delivered the Damen Stan Patrol 4207 Valiant to H.M. Customs and Excise. Following the earlier delivered Seeker, Searcher and Vigilant, Valiant is the fourth Damen Stan Patrol 4207 for H.M. Customs and Excise. The Damen Stan Patrol 4207 is one of the bigger types in the Damen standard range of patrol boats, starting from 12 m in length and reaching up to 52 m.

Damen Delivers Tug to Sea Ports Corp.

In March 2004 the Damen Stan Tug 4511 Al Salaam was delivered from Damen Shipyards Galatz to the Owner’s Sea Ports Corporation (S.P.C.) Sudan. The Damen Stan Tug 4511 is the latest member of the Damen Stan Tug series. In 2003 two shorter versions, the Stan Tugs 4011, where delivered to an Owner in the Middle East. Al Salaam will operate at the Beshair SBM terminal south of Port Sudan, where it’s basic functions will be towing, berthing, fire fighting and pollution control.

The Damen ASD Tugs 3110 SIMBA III, KIBOKO II AND NYANGUMI II are not the first Damen Tugs to be used in the port of Mombasa. “EL-LAMY”, a Stan Tug 3300 with a bollard pull of 55 ton. § It is used as harbour for import and exports as a gateway to East Africa. Damen Gets Contract to Build Navy LSV

On January 10, 2005 a contract was signed between the Royal Netherlands Navy and Damen Shipyards Gorinchem for the design and construction of a Logistic Support Vessel (LSV). Following a tender procedure the initial award took place at the end of 2004 after which the contract was signed early January. The 65 m long Support Vessel will be based in the Caribbean and will be deployed for the transport of equipment and personnel, mainly within the Netherlands Antilles.
Damen Delivers Patrol Vessel

Damen Shipyards Gorinchem recently delivered the Damen Stan Patrol 2005 RV160 – Wycker Meer to the Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Dutch Military Police), which differs only in detail from ‘Kokmeeuw’ and ‘Mantelmeeuw’, two Damen Stan Patrols 2005, which were delivered to the Dutch Customs earlier in 2004. The Damen Stan Patrol 2005 is a further development on the Damen Stan Patrol 1805, of which Damen has built 13 vessels for the Dutch Police in the past years.
Damen Delivers Crew Boat

After successful seatrials at the shipyard in Gorinchem, Damen have delivered the first of three new Crew Boats to Kanoo Marine (a division of Kanoo Shipping Agencies). The first-of-class has meanwhile arrived in the Gulf and will shortly commence service. The second vessel is just about to leave the shipyard and the third will undergo trials in June. Kanoo Shipping Agencies (part of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo - www.ybakanoo.com) is a longtime customer of Damen.
