MOL Assists in Transport of Mobile Library Vehicles to South Africa
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced plans to assist the non-profit organization South Africa Primary Education Support Initiative (Sapesi-Japan, *1) with the ocean transport of mobile library vehicles to the Republic of South Africa. Such assistance was provided in 2009 and 2010, so the current project is the third for MOL. MOL previously transported 24 vehicles, and in this phase, it will transport eight vehicles.

IHC Merwede Sells First IHC Beaver 65 DDSP
Following the launch of the IHC Beaver 65 DDSP in February, the first vessel has been sold to Advanced Construction Company, a member of the Al Geithy Group, based in Saudi Arabia. Testing was successful completed at IHC Merwede’s shipyard in Sliedrecht, The Netherlands, in early March and delivery to Jeddah will be organized in the second quarter of this year. After delivery the dredger will begin work in the Red Sea.

Offshore wind consortium, Forewind’s second and final stage of consultation for its first offshore wind energy development, Dogger Bank Creyke Beck begins Friday, April 19. Vroon Offshore Win Long-term BP ERRV Contract
Vroon Offshore Services contracted by BP for emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) services on the UK continental shelf. Netherlands' Vroon say that these services will be undertaken by A- and B-Class field-support vessels and a platform-supply vessel.
