SeaZip Takes Delivery of Damen Crew Suppliers
On 28 March, SeaZip Offshore Service named two new Damen Fast Crew Suppliers (FCS) 2610 at Damen Shipyards Gorinchem. The two vessels, named SeaZip 3 and SeaZip 4, will expand their owner’s offshore wind farm support capacity in the North Sea region. SeaZip 3 and SeaZip 4 can be described as the Mark II version of Damen’s renowned FCS 2610. Responding to industry feedback, Damen has lengthened the wheelhouse and located the accommodation closer to the stern.
Damen Delivers Stan Patrol Vessel to RBDF
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) has taken delivery of the fourth and final Stan Patrol 4207, named HMBS Rolly Gray. The four Stan Patrol 4207s form part of the six-year Sandy Bottom project. The Stan Patrol 4207s carry a 24-person crew, have a range in excess of 2000 nm and can achieve speeds of 20 knots. As well as their weapons systems each carries two RHIBS for fast interception and boarding.

Damen Anchor & Chain Factory (AKF), in the Port of Rotterdam, informs it has completed its first online order transaction. Much of the Damen product range has had an online enquiry option for some time, though AKF is relatively new to the concept. Damen Refits Fisheries Research Vessel
Last week, the Dutch governmental shipping company Rijksrederij (part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, Rijkswaterstaat) took delivery of its scientific research vessel Tridens after an extensive refit at Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam in the Netherlands. Tridens underwent a major midlife conversion to boost the vessel’s multifunctional capabilities for fisheries research, including installation of a ‘drop keel’.

Promar Shipping Services has christened the first of two Damen PSV 3300 vessels built at Damen Shipyards Galaţi in Romania. The Mamola Reliance will operate on the West African oil and gas market. Following the official handover on February 23, the Mamola Reliance set sail for West Africa. En route she stopped off in Barcelona for her naming ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Promar’s CEO, Bertrand Prezioso, CFO, Olivier Utz and COO, Christophe Mansuy.

Damen ASD 2810 Hybrid Tug Delivered to Multraship
Multraship took delivery of a Damen ASD 2810 Hybrid tug vessel, built at Damen Shipyards Galaţi, in Romania. The delivery is part of Multraship’s fleet expansion program, which involves a number of Damen vessel orders. The new vessel, named Multratug 28, sailed under her own keel to the Netherlands from Galaţi. The tug features an expected bollard pull of 61 metric tons. Damen’s ASD 2810 Hybrid is a new design, and Multratug 28 is the second of its class to be built.
Damen Delivers First of New Tug Class
Damen Shipyards Group has delivered the first vessel in its new ASD Tug 2913 class. According to Damen, the 2913 has been developed in response to demand from operators for more powerful tugs capable of handling today’s larger vessels. As well as having a bollard pull of 80 metric tons and total power of 5,050 BKw, the new tug is 29 meters in length and highly maneuverable, making it suited for operations in busy harbors where space is limited.

CORIMA, part of the Italian Gesmar Group, has ordered a Damen ASD Tug 2810. The Damen ASD Tug 2810, which has a 60 metric tons bollard pull, will be deployed in the port of Ancona. With the official signing ceremony taking place on January 12, the new tug is due to be delivered at the end of the year.
