Bus Hit by Wave, Fishermen Rescued in UK Storm
Ten people have been rescued after the bus they were travelling in was hit by a large wave on the seafront road at Newgale in Wales, and 6 from a disabled French commercial fishing vessel off the southwest of England coast in a 60 mph wind. Milford Haven Coastguard say they were contacted with reports that the bus was stuck on the seafront, having been hit by a large wave and was surrounded by water. Gas Flow Stopped at Out of Control GofM Well: Latest Update
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) confirms that the flow of natural gas from the A-7 well, Vermilion Block 356, located in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 108 miles southwest of Lafayette, Louisiana, has been stopped by pumping weighted drilling fluids into the well. While the natural gas flow has stopped, there is additional work required to secure the well that includes setting barriers to ensure that no natural gas is released.
