Two PSV Build Contracts for Ulstein Verft
On February 24, ULSTEIN announced the shipbuilding contracts for two new platform supply vessels (PSVs) for Blue Ship Invest. The vessels are of the PX121 design and are scheduled for delivery from Ulstein Verft Q1 2015. Ulstein Verft currently has seven vessels on order. In total, ULSTEIN has sold 20 designs of the PX121 design, and the two new vessels will be number nine and ten of this design type to be constructed at Ulstein Verft.

Shell Advances Peterhead Clean Energy Project
Shell has signed an agreement with the U.K. Government to progress the Peterhead Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project to the next phase of design. The project, led by Shell, with strategic support from SSE, owners of the Peterhead gas power station in Aberdeenshire, aims to capture10 million metric tons of CO2 over 10 years. This will generate enough clean electricity to power the equivalent of 500,000 homes a year.

The 34,231 tons gross SuperSpeed1, built by Aker Finnyards at Rauma in Finland, has been in service on the Kristiansand – Hitshals route since 2008 and is the third Color Line vessel to be equipped with ABB’s system, after the Color Magic and Color Fantasy.
