Fincantieri to Build Seabourn Cruise Ship
Italy-based shipbuilders Fincantieri say they have been contracted to build the new ship by Seabourn, the ultra-luxury cruise brand of Carnival Corp. The shipbuilders inform that the ship, due to join the Seabourn fleet in the second half of 2016, will be built according to the standards and technical solutions that make Seabourn one of the most prestigious brands in the ultra-luxury segment and will continue the fleet modernization that began in 2009.

Wison to Build LNG Regasification Barge
Wison Offshore & Marine has announced the award of a binding agreement with Vessel Gasification Solutions (VGS) of New Jersey, U.S.A., for the supply of the industry's first barge-based floating LNG regasification unit (FRU) to be installed offshore India. The FRU, which will be owned by VGS, will consist of a newbuild, non-propelled barge equipped to perform the regasification and send out of a maximum of 1,000MMscf/d of gas.
Commercial Agreement Inked for Alaskan Gasline
Alaskan Governor Sean Parnell welcomed news that a commercial agreement for an Alaska gasline has been signed, marking a major milestone in bringing Alaska’s gas to Alaskans and markets beyond. The agreement, also known as a Heads of Agreement (HOA), was signed by the commissioners of Natural Resources and Revenue, ExxonMobil, BP, ConocoPhillips, TransCanada and the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC). The HOA will be subject to public review by the Legislature this session.
