PROMAR Orders Two Damen PSVs
Swiss company PROMAR has ordered two Platform Supply Vessels from Damen Shipyards Group as it looks to further expand the offshore fleet under its management in the next five years. The first Damen PSV 3300 will be delivered in February 2015, and the second in August of the same year. KONGSBERG Nets Petrofac Pipelayer Vessel Contract
KONGSBERG says it has been appointed as the supplier & integrator of all electrical, telecom and integrated control systems for a new Petrofac JSD 6000 deepwater derrick lay vessel, to be built at the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (ZPMC) yard in China for Petrofac UK. The contract worth more than NOK 230 Million was awarded by ZPMC to Kongsberg Maritime Engineering (KME), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime.

Rolls-Royce to Supply DP3 Systems to New Farstad OCV's
Rolls-Royce says it has signed a contract with the shipyard group Vard for its latest DP3 dynamic positioning system to be installed on two new offshore construction vessels. The two vessels will be built at VARD Group, Langsten, Norway and delivered during the first half of 2015. Rolls-Royce will also supply engines, thrusters, propulsion systems, steering gears, and rudders. Rolls-Royce has already delivered many DP2 systems to VARD Group, across a range of ship designs.
