A French fishing vessel has run aground on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula. Falmouth Coastguard was contacted by the vessel Scuderia just after 11 p.m.

Parat Halvorsen AS has again signed a contract with the company American Seafoods Company in Seattle to deliver a new steamboiler, this time to their fabric trawler American Triumph. The motor vessel George C. Grugett was delivered August 9, 2013 by Horizon Shipbuilding, Inc. to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Memphis, Tenn.
