Vector Signs Exclusive Medical Contract
Hutton's has signed an exclusive contract to supply medical equipment and to provide annual survey services for Vector Offshore Limited. Vector's fleet of offshore support vessels operates out of Aberdeen and each uniquely carries two Autonomous Rescue and Recovery Craft (ARRC) which are capable of operating on their own, putting the company at the cutting edge of rescue and recovery in the North Sea.
Report: Chinese Aircraft Carrier Completes Trials
According to a report on www.chinadaily.com.cn, China's first aircraft carrier finished its sea trials this weekend, and returned to port in Dalian. The carrier nicknamed for now "Varyag" when at the Black Sea Shipyard in Ukraine, broke through a thick fog and appeared about 3 km east of the docks of the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co Ltd, which refitted the ship, according to the Beijing-based Mirror Evening News. At least seven tugboats guided the vessel to the dock, the report said.

MAN Engines to Power Seismic Vessel in Norway
MAN Diesel & Turbo signed a contract on 7 July 2011 in Frederikshavn, Denmark for the supply of 4 × MAN 8L32/40 engines to power a seismic vessel ordered by Sanco Shipping of Norway.
