Titan Torque, the oilfield services specialist, has announced it has increased turnover by 118%, increased the size of its Aberdeen facility and launched a new service to the drilling sector. Rapidly-expanding Titan has secured additional operational space to meet demand for its drilling solutions and equipment. The company now has added an 8,000sq ft unit across from its 10,000sq ft base at East Tullos Industrial Estate.

EBDG Launches Electric Buena Vista Ferry

A new cable-guided electric ferry, designed by Elliott Bay Design Group LLC (EBDG), began carrying passengers and vehicles across Oregonās Willamette River at Buena Vista. The new electric Buena Vista ferry replaces a diesel-powered version which had been in service for more than 50 years. EBDG was chosen to design the vessel, which was built by Diversified Marine of Portland, OR. The new vessel was delivered in May, ahead of schedule, to Marion County, the ferryās owner and operator.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) announced the company has reached an agreement, and signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA), with Carnival Corporation & plc calling for the construction of two new 125,000-ton cruise ships for its AIDA Cruises brand.
