The entire maritime industry benefits of the course ‘Onboard Noise and Vibration’ which is a joint initiative of HME in cooperation with the well known Dutch research institutes MARIN and TNO. The international training takes place in Delft, the Netherlands, on 24 and 25 May 2011. This training is of interest to engineers, naval architects, R&D managers and instructors. The training aims to link theory to daily practice and trains employees in the principles of noise and vibrations.

Yard number 288 from Ulstein Verft, the platform supply vessel ’Rem Hrist’, was delivered to Remøy Shipping at 3 March 2011. Rem Hrist’ is Remøy Shipping´s first vessel from Ulstein Verft. Her sister vessel, ’Rem Mist’, yard number 289, is under construction and will be delivered later this spring. The vessel is a large PSV, and is equipped with multi cargo tanks for dry media and liquids. There is a 360 degree view from the bridge, due to the exhaust system.
