Incat Crowther Announces Launch of 37m Catamaran Ferry
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce the launch of the 37m Catamaran Passenger Ferry Kilimanjaro III. Built by Richardson Devine Marine (RDM), Kilimanjaro III is the third vessel from the designer builder partnership for Coastal Fast Ferries in Tanzania, Africa. Kilimanjaro III was developed following the success of Kilimanjaro I and Kilimanjaro II. Incat Crowther and RDM were approached by the operator to develop a larger, faster and more versatile vessel.
Incat Crowther Designs Third Catamaran for Offshore Unlimited
Incat Crowther is designing a 35m Catamaran Work Boat for Offshore Unlimited. The vessel will be the third vessel resulting from the three-way partnership between builder Richardson Devine Marine, Incat Crowther and the operator. The three partners have already developed the 24m Catamaran Unlimited in 2008 and the 28m Limitless in 2010. This third vessel will benefit from the experience gained by the operator, designer and builder from these earlier vessels.
Incat Crowther Works on New Yacht Project
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce its involvement in a new motor yacht project. The Curvelle quaranta is a 33m Catamaran yacht currently under construction that has brought together a team of world leading design and engineering firms to create a modern, flexible and efficient yacht concept. Logos Marine is managing and coordinating all aspects of the build at the Istanbul yard, whilst Lila-Lou of London is responsible for exterior styling and interior design.
Incat Crowther Launches 26m Catamaran Ferry
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce the launch of the 26m catamaran, Cat Cocos Isle of La Digue at Richardson Devine Marine in Hobart. The vessel has successfully completed seas trials, where it proved the efficiency of Incat Crowther’s hull form by exceeding fuel consumption predictions. The 26m, 227 passenger vessel is the third Incat Crowther designed vessel for the operator, and was designed with the specific goal of reduced capital expenditure and operating costs.
Incat Crowther Designs Ferries for Russian Builder
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce that contracts have been signed with Russian builder Pacifico Marine for two catamaran ferry projects. Incat Crowther and Pacifico Marine have formed a relationship that sees the design company assist Pacifico Marine to service the Russian market with proven designs. The relationship has already found success with the contracts for these two vessels, and both companies are hard at work to secure further orders.
Incat Crowther Redefines Wind Farm Service Craft
Incat Crowther announced the launch of the 57.4-ft catamaran, Santa Ana, and the completion of extensive sea trials. The Santa Ana is specificaly designed for the wind farm service industry. Built by Lyme Boats in the UK, Santa Ana features Incat Crowther’s hull form. Operator P&O Maritime Services saw the platform’s potential for wind farm service and worked with Lyme Boats and Incat Crowther to develop the vessel’s design.
Incat Crowther to Design Quicksilver 6 Passenger Ferry
Incat Crowther has secured a contract to design a 138-ft Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry for Quicksilver Bali. The Indonesian operator runs day tours and dinner cruises out of Bali, using the Incat Crowther-designed Wave Piercing Catamaran Quicksilver 6. Under construction at PT Caputra Mitra Sejati Shipyard, the vessel will be built to Lloyd’s Register and carry 450 passengers in two salons and on three outdoor decks.
INCAT CROWTHER TO DESIGN 24m CATAMARAN PASSENGER FERRY
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce the design of a 24m Catamaran Passenger Ferry to be built by Baltic Workboats in Estonia. The vessel is a follow up to the Incat Crowther-designed 24m Catamaran Scientific Research Catamaran under construction at the yard, and will be operated in the Gulf of Riga, Estonia. Incat Crowther worked closely with Baltic workboats in their successful bid, developing a vessel utilizing the same platform as the research vessel.
Incat Crowther to Design 79-ft Cat Passenger Ferry
Incat Crowther announced the design of a 79-ft catamaran passenger ferry to be built by Baltic Workboats in Estonia. The vessel is a follow up to the Incat Crowther-designed 79-ft catamaran scientific research catamaran under construction at the yard, and will be operated in the Gulf of Riga, Estonia. Incat Crowther worked closely with Baltic workboats in their successful bid, developing a vessel utilizing the same platform as the research vessel.
Incat Crowther Launches 118-ft Monohull Crewboa
Incat Crowther announced the launch of the 118-ft Monohull Crewboat Siem Piata. The vessel was recently launched by ETP Engenharia Ltda in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, successfully completed sea trials and was delivered to Siem Consub for service to Petrobras. Developed primarily at Incat Crowther’s USA office in Morgan City Louisiana, Siem Piata will perform the role of a P2 crew boat in the Siem Consub fleet. The vessel is certified to Bureau Veritas and Brazilian Maritime standards.

Incat Crowther announced a contract to design two 98.5-ft aluminium monohull crewboats for service in Nigeria. Incat Crowther’s brief is to design vessels that are easy to construct and robust in operation, with simple systems; in line with the demands of the region. Kilimanjaro I and II are significantly larger vessels than any fast ferries that have been deployed on the Zanzibar – Dar Es Salaam route, yet the vessels are nearly always running at full capacity.

Incat Crowther Launches 59 ft Cat Passenger Ferry
Incat Crowther launched a 59 ft Catamaran Passenger Ferry for Victorian operator Inter Island Ferries. MV James Grant is the fourth vessel Incat Crowther has designed for the operator. This vessel is the first passenger ferry to feature Incat Crowther’s latest hull form, implemented on recent successful work boats. Performance is excellent with a top speed of 27 knots at full load with only 339kW. The vessel will carry 100 passengers, with boarding via side gates aft.
