Fratelli Neri S.p.A. Orders Three Damen Vessels
Fratelli Neri S.p.A., the family-owned, Livorno-based harbor towage company, has ordered three new Damen vessels; an ASD Tug 2913, a Stan Tug 1606 and a Stan Launch 1305, the last for its subsidiary company Labromare, which is 50% owned by Tripmare S.p.A. All three vessels will operate in and around the port of Livorno, one of the busiest in the Mediterranean Sea. Delivery will take place in November this year.

Damen Delivers Two Tugs to SAAM
SAAM S.A., a towage company with operations across South, Central and North America, has taken delivery of two ASD Tugs 2411 from the Damen Shipyards Group. These compact yet powerful vessels deliver over 70 tonnes of bollard pull and are exceptionally manoeuvrable and reliable. The order was placed just three months ago, following a visit by SAAM representatives to Damen Song Thu Shipyard in Vietnam where the vessels were already in build for stock.
Damen Delivers Floating Pump Station to Hamburg
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has taken delivery of the Sauger III, a custom floating pump station by Damen Shipyards Group for supporting dredging operations. Situated 110 km inland on the River Elbe and with a tidal range of 3.6 meters, the Hamburg Port requires regularly dredging like most ports. 37 metres in length and 10 meters wide, the station features a powerful, dual pump installation and comfortable accommodation for the crew.
Port of Caen Orders Damen ASD Tug 2810
The Port of Caen/Chamber of Commerce & Industry Caen Normandy (Chambre de Commerce et d’industrie de Caen Normandie) has placed an order for a Damen ASD Tug 2810. This follows Damen winning a public tender on December 8, 2015. Caen Normandy Chamber of Commerce & Industry has a port concession in both the Port of Caen Ouistreham and Cherbourg. The new Damen vessel will be deployed in the latter, hence its name Cherbourg 1.
