InfiNet Wireless' Solutions to Aid Gulf of Finland Fleet
InfiNet Wireless has announced the deployment of its wireless solutions within the icy Gulf of Finland. InfiNet Wireless' solutions will be used to create a modern technological wireless network within the Gulf, with the project being carried out by communications experts Geyzer-Telecom. Operating within the Gulf is a fleet of 16 ice breakers, each with a length of 119 meters and an unlimited sailing range.
Synapsis INS for New Car Carriers
The German navigation system integrator Raytheon Anschütz has won a contract to supply the latest generation of IMO-certified Integrated Navigation Systems (INS) to three car carriers built by the Croatian shipbuilder Uljanik Brodogradiliste. The Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) will be owned by Cayman Island based Auto Marine Transport Inc. and are scheduled for entering service from end of 2016. The new PCTCs will operate under a long-term charter of Siem Car Carriers AS.

Hawaii Conducts Port Disaster Exercise
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and partner agencies participated in the Alternate Port Concept Full Scale Exercise at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Friday. The purpose of the exercise was to prepare the State, Navy, Coast Guard and industry response partners for their roles during a major catastrophic event that closes the Port of Honolulu and requires the activation of the Alternate Port in Pearl Harbor.
