CTruk has utilized the performance statistics and operational feedback gained during its composite SWATH workboat CWind Astute’s first year at sea to fine tune the design for the next build. The Brightlingsea yard has recently started work on a 20m SWATH OWSV for Dungeness-based Technical Marine Support and CWind under the latter’s boat share scheme. The use of waterjets is the main difference on the new SWATH (small waterplane area twin hull) workboat.

Significant UK Dredging Project for Boskalis
Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has been contracted by Associated British Ports for the capital dredging of the approach channel to the port of Southampton in the United Kingdom. The contract has a value of approximately EUR 35 million and work is due to commence shortly. The contract requires the deepening of the 40 kilometer long approach channel.
