Vigor Renames Fabrication and Alaska Operations
Vigor Industrial announced today that it has renamed two of the company’s subsidiaries. U.S. Fab, Vigor’s fabrication and shipbuilding subsidiary, is now Vigor Fab. Oman Navy Receives Al Shamikh Vessel
The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) organized a reception ceremony for Al Shamikh vessel, first of three vessels in the Khareef project for RNO. Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al-Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs sponsored the ceremony which was held at the Said bin Sultan Naval Base, where he, along with commanders, greeted the vessel upon its arrival at the Naval base to join other vessels of the RNO fleet.

Willard Delivers SOLAS Rescue Boats
Willard Marine, a 56-year-old builder of composite and aluminum boats, has recently taken orders to build rescue boats for the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS), U.S. Military Sealift Command (MSC) and Maersk Lines Ltd. The Willard Marine rescue boats meet all U.S. Coast Guard requirements under the international Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) treaty. AMHS has ordered two 670 rescue boats for the M/V Columbia, which is being refitted with new safety equipment.

20 MacGregor Cranes Ordered for Multipurpose Vessels
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has recently secured an order to supply 20 MacGregor cranes for four new 38,000 dwt general cargo vessels under construction at Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co.
