At Pentagon ceremony Dr Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, with Navy Secretary Ray Mabus announce the new sub's name to be 'USS Delaware'. Wherever the USS Delaware goes after she is launched in 2018, a "piece of my heart will go with her," said Dr. Jill Biden, who will sponsor the Navy's newest Virginia-class fast-attack submarine. Delaware's Sen. Tom Carper and Lt. Gov. Matt Denn also attended the ceremony announcing the submarine's name.

Beneath the 20-foot waves that crested off Delaware's coast during Hurricane Sandy, thrashing waters reshaped the floor of the ocean, churning up fine sand and digging deep ripples into the seabed. Fish, crustaceans and other marine life were blasted with sand as the storm sculpted new surfaces underwater.

LNG Carrier 'Coral Energy' naming ceremony to take place next month at the Port of Rotterdam Cruise Terminal. The new ship is claimed by the Dutch owners, Anthony Veder, to be world’s first direct driven dual-fuel ice class 1A LNG carrier. Its development started in 2010 in close cooperation with Norwegian gas provider Skangass. The design of the ship makes it possible to deliver LNG to all sizes of terminals in an environmental friendly way.

The stacker/reclaimer unit, for delivery to Ridley Terminals Inc. is considered important for the planned expansion of coal export operations. The successful arrival of the vessel and subsequent movement of the stacker/reclaimer components required a wide-ranging team effort. The Prince Rupert Port Authority collaborated with ship's agent Peter Riley of G.W.

Earlier Le Cléac’h was making just 1.8 knots but now he’s flying along at 9.1 knots and has headed south-west. In the only change since the last ranking at 1600hrs (French time), Jean-Pierre Dick (Virbac-Paprec 3) moved past Francois Gabart (Macif) into second – albeit with only 0.9 miles between them - and was averaging 5 knots compared to Gabart’s 3.3.
