These controls provide precise control of a boat using Smartcraft ® DTS technology, which enables smooth and safe shifting. Direct drive of throttle position sensors results in faster response times. . These controls are designed to work on all Mercury I/O, OB and Cummins DTS engines.

Cleveland—The U.S.-flag Great Lakes fleet is returning to service to keep industrial America on the mend. The first vessel to get underway was the tug/barge unit DOROTHY ANN/PATHFINDER on March 5. The vessel will spend the month shuttling iron ore within Cleveland Harbor. Next to sail was the cement carrier SAMUEL DE CHAMPLAIN/INNOVATION. The tug/barge unit left its winter berth in Cleveland on March 7 and sailed to Alpena, Michigan, where it loaded cement to resupply silos in Chicago.

For the first time, a Damen Fast Crew Supplier 1605 will be built in Ecuador by Astilleros Navales Ecuatorianos (ASTINAVE) Shipyard. Damen is supplying the complete, prefabricated Shipbuilding Material Package Kit to ASTINAVE. The yard’s technical staff are responsible for the construction, together with Damen Technical Cooperation (DTC). The DTC concept enables customers to build Damen vessels of their choice locally, according to specific requirements.

This self-shielded flux-cored arc welding (FCAW-S) gun allows quick and easy power cable maintenance, and provides operators with 350 amps of welding capability at 60 percent duty cycle.
