Maersk Container Ship Thwarts Pirate Attack in Gulf of Oman
The US flag vessel Maersk Texas thwarted an attack by multiple pirate skiffs while transiting the Gulf of Oman, northeast of Fujairah, after leaving the Strait of Hormuz accprdomg to 'The National'.
Fire Aboard Submarine in U.S. Shipyard
According ot CNN the fire was not out six hours after the initial response, six people had been injured, there were no weapons on board, and the nuclear reactor was not affected. Six people sustained injuries and subsequently received treatment either on the scene or at "a local medical facility", said Captain Bryant Fuller, Shipyard Commander for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery. "While the fire is not out, the situation is improving," he said at 11:45 p.m., Wednesday, Eastern time.
