PEC Premier Adds to SafeGulf Training

SEMS awareness training is now available as a part of the SafeGulf offshore safety orientation program. On January 1st, PEC Premier added a Safety and Environmental Management System module to its one-day Basic Safety Orientation and its three-day Core safety training course, meaning that both will now meet the new requirements for SafeGulf. Statoil’s drilling of the Skinfaks South well in the North Sea has been completed and the estimated volume is between 1.9 and 6.9 million barrels of oil equivalents. This is the fourth infrastructure-near discovery in the Gullfaks area in a 10 month period. Hyundai Heavy Develops FLNG Model

Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world’s biggest shipbuilder and offshore facilities contractor announced today that the Company completed developing its own Hyundai FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Plant) model in association with Linde AG, an international industrial gases and engineering company of Germany. The Hyundai FLNG has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons of LNG and can store about 193,800 m3 LNG with its compact size of 355 m in length, 70 m width and 35 m in height.
