VOSTA LMG Contract for Dredgers
The key laying of two CSDās 500 will take place on Thursday June 2 in Sharjah (UAE). VOSTA LMG signed a contract with Jordan Modern Industries (JMI) for supply of two CSDās 500 in March 2011. The two dredgers will be built at APT Global Marine services LCC, and will be used by the Ministry Of Water Resources / Directorate of Executing Rivers Dredging Works (Iraq) after delivery. The turnkey project is a repeat order of the CSD 500 for JMI, which is currently successfully operating in Iraq.

Port Manatee Berth 12 Dreding Underway

$43 Million Contract Awarded Of New Backhoe Dredge
PANAMA CITY, Panama, April 27, 2011 - The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has awarded a $43 million contract to Dutch company IHC Engineering Business Ltd., a part of IHC Merwede Group, for the design and construction of a new backhoe dredge. The addition of this new dredge to the ACPās existing fleet in December 2012 will increase the ACPās ability to effectively dredge as part of the Expansion Program and future maintenance projects. The Central Queensland Port Authority is undertaking one of the largest capital improvement projects in Australia. The RG Tanna Wharf Expansion Project involves extending the pier by 350 meters, widening existing berths, building a 1.3 kilometer onshore conveyor, and creating a new jetty approach.
