Evac's Total Waste Management for Atlantic Mercy
The global cleantech company Evac has been chosen to supply its total waste management system to the world’s largest civilian hospital ship, the Atlantic Mercy. Owned and operated by the nonprofit Mercy Ships, the ship will provide medical care in the poorest parts of Africa. The vessel is now being constructed by the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation at the Tianjin Xingang Shipyard. The contract to supply the vessel was signed in May 2015 for delivery in 2016.

Hapag-Lloyd Modifies West Africa, Northern Europe Service
Standalone West Africa Express service (WAX) offers improved transit times, connection to Hapag-Lloyds global service network. Effective August 10, Hapag-Lloyd will offer its customers an improved service between West Africa and Northern Europe, the company announced today. The new West Africa Express service (WAX) provides transits to and from key markets, for instance 13 days from Antwerp to Dakar, and from Abidjan to Antwerp in only 11 days.
CMA CGM Group Upgrades African Service
The CMA CGM Group announced changes to its African service, upgrading its EURAF 4 service to directly connect West Africa to the West Mediterranean markets each week starting July 18, the group announced. Up until now, the EURAF 4 service has been calling the following ports: Tangiers, Lome, Cotonou, Port Gentil, Libreville, Lome and Tangiers.
