MAN Diesel & Turbo North America represents its parent company, Germany-based MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, whose roots date back to 1758 and is a leading provider of large-bore diesel engines for marine and stationary applications, and is one of three leading suppliers of turbomachinery. The company designs two-stroke and four-stroke engines that are manufactured both by the company and by its licensees, with power outputs ranging from 450 kW to 87 MW.
MAN Diesel & Turbo and the Tier-III Age
The introduction of the electronically controlled camshaft-less low speed diesel engines (ME-range) are a milestone in diesel technology, a milestone that deserves a place in history similar to Rudolf Diesel’s first engine in Augsburg for the 1912 motor vessel Selandia, the introduction of turbocharging on two-stroke diesels in 1954, and the first SCR (Selective Catalytic NOx Reduction) systems on ships in 1989.

Meyer Werft Orders More MAN Diesel & Turbo Power
MAN Diesel & Turbo has won the order from Meyer Werft for new cruise vessels for Norwegian Cruise Line to supply its V48/60CR engines with diesel-electric propulsion systems. The ships will be built at Meyer Werft, the cruise liner specialist builder in Papenburg, northern Germany. MAN Diesel & Turbo Delivers "Polar King"

Premiere of MAN Diesel & Turbo Gas Engine
At a major event at its Diesel Research Centre in Copenhagen today, MAN Diesel & Turbo presented its ME-GI gas engine to a 300-strong invited audience of customers, licensees and journalists.
