OpDAQ Systems Wins Canadian Coast Guard Contract
Rimouski-based company OpDAQ Systems has been awarded a contract to equip 34 Canadian Coast Guard vessels with fuel management marine systems. The embedded systems will provide onboard staff and managers with real-time data on fuel consumption, engine power and ship speed. This approach has advantages both economically and environmentally by facilitating continuous and measurable improvement of operations, according to the developer.
Waller Marine to Support Philippine FPP Project
Waller Marine, Inc, (WMI), of Houston, Texas, has been contracted by Vires Energy Corporation of the Philippines to produce the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of a nominal 400 MW Floating Power Plant (FPP) that will be installed in Southern Luzon for supply of power into the Luzon grid. Generating technology selected for the vessel will be Siemens Industrial Trent 60 WLE ISI dual fuel packaged gas turbine generator sets operating in simple cycle mode.
