Vigor Delivers ATB Tug to Harley Marine
Vigor’s Seattle shipyard recently delivered a 95’ x 38’ x 16’, 3,000 hp ATB Twin Screw Tug, Dale R Lindsey, to Harley Marine Services Inc. Designed by Elliot Bay Design Group for primary operation in Alaska, the ATB tug utilizes an Articouple FRM-43M coupler system to pair with the 20,000 barrel oil barge, Petro Mariner. It features a raised aluminum pilothouse for optimal visibility built by Kvichak. Dale R Lindsey is the 11th vessel built by Vigor for its long-time customer, Harley Marine.

Conrad to Build Young Brothers' New Tugs
Conrad Shipyard of Morgan City, La. has signed a contract to build four Damen Stan 3711 tugs for Young Brothers, Limited of Hawaii, announced Conrad President and CEO, Johnny Conrad. The four new twin-screw tugs are 123-feet in length with a 36.5-feet beam and powered by G.E. 8L250 engines rated at 6,000 horsepower. Designed for high stability and maneuverability, the tug has a maximum bollard pull of 80-metric tons and a top speed of 12.5 knots.

JRC Earns Highest DNV-GL INS Type Approval
Japan Radio Company (JRC) has received DNV-GL Integrated Navigation System (INS) type approval for the Multi Function Display (MFD) which also includes the network based ICS suffix. JRC’s flexible system meets and exceeds the new IMO performance standard resolution MSC.252(83) and are approved to be expanded to meet the highest class notations such as NAUT-OC/AW/OSV to ensure the safety of a vessel at sea.
