Liebherr Mobile Harbor Crane for the Netherlands
Pacorini Metals has invested in a new Liebherr mobile harbor crane, type LHM 420, which started operation in summer 2014. The new LHM 420 has an outreach of 48 meters and provides a maximum lifting capacity of 84 metric tons. Tasks of the crane include container handling as well as bulk operation. According to the manufacturer, a powerful crane set-up ensures high speed in terms of hoisting, slewing and luffing in order to achieve maximum turnover.

Ulstein Delivers PSV Blue Queen
Platform supply vessel (PSV) Blue Queen, of Ulstein’s PX121 design, was delivered to Blue Ship Invest from Ulstein Verft on February 24, 2015. This vessel is the first of two for which Norway-based Golden Energy offshore is awarded the ship management contract. In total, 30 vessels of this design have been contracted by different shipowners for construction at various shipyards worldwide, Ulstein noted. Blue Queen is the ninth being constructed at Ulstein Verft.
Maersk Orders Rolls-Royce’s New Anchor Recovery Frames
Maersk Supply Service has exercised an option to add Rolls-Royce’s new Anchor Recovery Frames (ARF) to the supply contract awarded in December for deck machinery for six anchor handler vessels under construction at Norway’s Kleven Verft AS. Rolls-Royce informs that the contract marks the first reference for its next generation ARF, designed in cooperation with Maersk to optimize vessel safety and efficiency.
