Kübler Transports Ship on SCHEUERLE InterCombi
A ship´s upper deck and hull were transported on SCHEUERLE axles to be united in order to carry passengers on the Markkleeberg lake in the German state of Saxony once in service. The upper deck started from Magdeburg whilst the hull was moved from its place of production in Dresden. A total of 21 SCHEUERLE InterCombi axle lines were on the road for two nights ensuring that the ship sections were safely delivered to their destination.

New Tests for Ballast Water Contamination
The new upgrade for Speedy Breedy enables it to test for contamination in Ballast Water in accordance with the Ballast Water Treatment Performance Standard (D2). The new features enable Speedy Breedy to test for the three bacteria as set out in the D2 standard, Vibrio (Cholera), E. coli and Enterococcus, to enumerate contamination in CFUs (colony forming units) and then to pasteurize the sample so that it can be disposed of as regular waste.

ABS Wins Petronas FLNG Classification Contract
ABS, a provider of classification and technical services to the global offshore industry, has been awarded the classification contract from Petronas, Malaysia's national oil company, for the company's second floating LNG facility (PFLNG 2). The vessel will be built at the Samsung Heavy Industries yard in Geoje, Korea. "This is a very significant award for us," said ABS Chairman and CEO Christopher J. Wiernicki.
