OSI to Integrate Software for UK Royal Navy

More oil and gas projects in Norway could be put on hold because of rising costs, adding to a growing list of developments that have been delayed or called off, Bente Nyland, the head of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said on Thursday. Most vulnerable will be small fields, projects to increase the recovery from producing assets, and new finds further than 40 km from existing infrastructure, Nyland told Reuters.

Damen Opens JV Yard in Vietnam
On March 20, 2014, Vietnamese Minister of Transport Nguyen Hong Truong, cut the ribbon for the latest addition to Damen Shipyard Groupâs portfolio. Damen Song Cam is a new yard, and is one of the largest in the group and represents Damenâs first formal Joint Venture yard in Vietnam. Damen said Song Cam is considered state-of-the-art, bringing a western shipyard designed to meet European health, safety and environmental standards into a Vietnamese environment.
Rolls-Royce Wins Heyerdahl Award
Rolls-Royce has been awarded the maritime Heyerdahl Award 2014. The award was presented by His Majesty King Harald at the Norwegian Shipownersâ Associations Annual Conference in Oslo March 31. The award goes to the Environship Concept, an innovative ship design which integrates a highly efficient gas-based power and propulsion system with an innovative hull design to provide significant reductions in emissions.

Knightsbridge, Frontline to Form US Capesize Company
Knightsbridge Tankers Limited and Frontline 2012 Ltd. have announced an agreement to combine Frontline 2012's remaining fleet of 25 fuel efficient vessels with Knightsbridge. The newbuildings have expected deliveries between September 2014 and September 2016, with five vessels delivering in 2014, 14 vessels in 2015 and six vessels in 2016. Knightsbridge recently acquired five Capesize newbuildings from Frontline 2012 and one vessel from Hemen Holding Ltd.
Petroecuador Tenders to Buy High Octane Naphtha

Dubai-owned port operator DP World is in talks with lenders to triple the size of an existing $1 billion loan, as well as extend the lifespan and reduce the interest rate, banking sources told Reuters on Thursday. Royal Caribbean Profits Take a Hit
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd reported a much lower-than-expected quarterly profit as costs rose and passengers spent less onboard. Shares of the company, whose cruise lines include Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruise, fell as much as 3.2 percent in early trading. The company shortened or canceled six cruises during the January-March quarter, typically the strongest for cruise operators.
IMB: Piracy Falls to Lowest Level since 2007
