The Great lakes St. Lawrence Seaway System today issued notices number nine and 10 regarding maximum allowable drafts in the Montreal section in Lake Ontario and revocation of certain transit restrictions. Seaway notice 9 addresses maximum allowable drafts in Lake Ontario’s Montreal section, stating the maximum allowable draft is increased to 80.8 dm (26' 06"), subject to favorable water elevations, effective April 14, 2014. This increase applies to all vessels.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on Monday lashed out at critics of Petroleo Brasileiro SA, saying accusations of corruption, cost-overruns and stagnation at the state-run oil company were politically-motivated. Man Medevaced from Fishing Boat off Lewes, Del.
The U.S. Coast Guard announced it medevaced a 49-year-old man at approximately 8 a.m. Monday from a fishing boat about 50 miles offshore from Lewes, Del. A crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Mary Elizabeth alerted Coast Guard watchstanders of an ailing crewmember who was in need of immediate medical attention.
