Rolls-Royce installed the first MT30 gas turbine into the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, at Babcock’s Rosyth shipyard in Scotland. The MT30, at 36 MW (around 50,000 hp), is reported by the company to be the world’s most powerful marine gas turbine. Juggernaut Valemax to Deliver Rotterdam Cargo
Iron ore carrier 'Berge Java', chartered by Vale, will discharge its cargo, for company customer ArcelorMittal, in the Port of Rotterdam. The Berge Jaya, chartered by Vale, is scheduled to berth at Rotterdam's EMO dry bulk terminal this week. This is the second voyage of the vessel, built by Chinese shipyard Bohai. The Valemax ship has a capacity to transport up to 400,000 tons of iron ore and allows for 35% less carbon emission per ton of ore transported compared to earlier generation ships.

BAE Ships Last Two RAN Destroyer Blocks
A further two Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) blocks manufactured by BAE Systems in Williamstown have been shipped to Adelaide. The final blocks make nine altogether since the first block was delivered in August 2011. With this shipment, BAE Systems has completed work on all AWD Ship 1 and Ship 2 blocks that they have been contracted to complete. Block 415 is a hull block and weighs 117 tonnes.
