Chemical Tankships Collide in GoM
Two tankers inbound towards the Port of Galveston collide, causing some internal damage to the 'Bow Kiso'. The collision between the 385-foot tanker Chem Sea, and the 557-foot tanker Bow Kiso occured some 70 miles south of Galveston. According to the Coast Guard, the Bow Kiso suffered a fuel leak in the engine room, but was able to patch the leak and pump the remainder of the fuel into an auxiliary tank.
