Fairmount Alpine Delivers Emma Maersk in Palermo
Super tug Fairmount Alpine has delivered the container vessel Emma Maersk at Fincantieri’s repair yard in Palermo, Sicily. To tow the 398 meter long 156,907 DWT Emma Maersk towards Palermo Fairmount Marine was contracted by Maersk Line. Tug Fairmount Alpine happened to be in the eastern Mediterranean area and was promptly mobilized to Port Said, where Emma Maersk has discharged her cargo at the Suez Channel Container Terminal.

Construction of Finnish Border Patrol Vessel Underway
The keel of the offshore patrol vessel being built for the Finnish Border Guard was laid at STX Finland Oy’s Rauma Shipyard. The event was witnessed by representatives of STX Finland, Finnish Border Guard, classification society and media. DOF Subsea Enters Contract with Statoil for Mooring Installation
Norwegian-based subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway AS has secured a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for Mooring Installation Services utilising DOF Subsea’s support vessel the Skandi Skolten. The scope of work is to change out mooring segments on the Njord B FSU and Norne FPSO installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea whilst these are in production. The offshore operations part of the project will commence in Q3 2013 and will last for approximately 40 days.
Meyer Werft Set to Launch 'Norwegian Breakaway'
After just 17 months under construction Meyer Werft plans to float out the new cruise ship Tuesday, weather permitting. The 145,000 gt cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway, has already been undergoing extensive tests and machinery trials. Ice-class Seismic Vessel Order for Kleven
Kleven has signed a contract with GC Rieber Shipping for the building of an advanced seismic vessel. The vessel is of type ST 324 XT from Skipsteknisk, and is to be delivered from Myklebust Verft in March 2015. Contract value is around 700 million NOK and there is an option for a second vessel. The advanced seismic vessel will meet ice class ICE 1A*, providing a solid base for operations in Arctic areas.

Mystery Wreckage Sighted Off US Coast
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter located the debris and a male body about 22 east of the entrance to the St. Johns River. A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission aircrew reported the debris, including two large pieces of a vessel; 10 life jackets; flares; and an oil sheen. It is unknown if additional people are in the water or otherwise in distress, but the Coast Guard is responding as though there are.
