New Brazilian Warship Departs the U.K.
The latest addition to the Brazilian Navyâs fleet departed the UK in the snow for her new home in Rio de Janeiro where she will strengthen Brazilâs maritime security. Apa is the second of three Amazonas Class Ocean Patrol Vessels being delivered to the Brazilian Navy by BAE Systems. Her sister ship, Amazonas, completed the crossing last year, while the final ship, Araguari, will be handed over in June.

GSP to Provide Services for Gazprom Neft
Operations are scheduled to start at the beginning of June and will be carried out in Dolginskoye oil field, located in the Pechora Sea, in the south eastern part of the Barents Sea, the continental shelf of the Russian Federation. MODU GSP Jupiter shall perform the drilling, logging, completion and testing of North-Dolginskaya â 3 well. A fleet of four offshore support vessels including two owned by GSP will assist the rig during the drilling operations scheduled in the Pechora Sea.

400 Officers Certified in Navmaster ECDIS
While staying on board ship and continuing with their duties, over 400 navigating officers have earned formal certification in Navmaster ECDIS. The training course launched by PC Maritime nearly a year ago meets STCW requirements and standards set out by the Nautical Institute for ECDIS familiarization. Available on standalone DVD, the PC Maritime package uses text, voiceover and video and requires users to carry out actions just as they would on Navmaster ECDIS.
Human Error Found in Walla Walla Motor Failure
