Intertek, SOCAR Enter Service Sontract
Intertek has signed a contract with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to provide crude oil assay and gas analysis services. The information gathered will help shape the design and construction of their new Oil-Gas Processing and Petrochemical Complex (OGPC) near Baku city. Intertek will perform a variety of services including sample gathering, testing locally in Baku and full crude assay analysis within its U.K. North Sea operations. The work will take around six months to complete.

Expro Awarded Subsea Services Contract in China
International oilfield service company, Expro, has been awarded a $4.5 (£2.9) million one year contract for the supply of 7 3/8” completion landing string services in China. Work will commence this month, and as part of the contract, Expro will supply a 7 3/8” 10k direct hydraulic (DH) completion landing string system and a set of topside and DH controls. This will be the latest DH operation in China following previous successful campaigns on other horizontal tree developments.
