Goltens Fast-Fixes Dredger Engines in Oman
Goltens, the US based global engine repair and retrofit expert, overhauls 3 engines from the 'Leonardo Da Vinci', owned by the Jan De Nul Group. The dredger, which has over 20,000 KW installed diesel power, required a full overhaul and reconditioning of its three main engines. Work was carried out at Al Duqm shipyard in Oman and was completed within a demanding schedule of three weeks. This project was part of Goltens’ ongoing cooperation with Denis Diesel Services.

Washington Coast Guard Crew Deploys to South Korea
Through chilling winds and choppy seas, five-man crews aboard small, gray security boats worked tirelessly for 10 days patrolling the waters around a massive 348-foot petroleum vessel near the coast of Pohang, South Korea. Boat crews from Port Security Unit (PSU) 313 worked night and day to enforce a safety zone around U.S. Naval Ship Vice Adm. K.R. Wheeler and an eight-mile submerged pipeline that extended from the ship to the shores of Dogu Beach.
Bollinger Delivers Ocean Sun to Crowley
The third of four Ocean Class Tugs has been delivered to Crowley from Bollinger Marine Fabricators. The Ocean Sun is DP 2, measures 156 feet in length and is rated at 10,880 HP. The vessel is outfitted for long-range, high-capacity ocean towing, rig moves, platform and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit tows, emergency response and firefighting. Sister ship Ocean Sky is preparing for sea-trials, and a summer 2013 delivery.
