Russian Floating Nuclear Plant: Reactors Loaded
The two reactors for Russia’s first floating nuclear power plant, due to be stationed in the Arctic, have been installed, reports "Barents Observer', citing Russia's state nuclear power company Rosenergoatom. Each of the KLT-40S reactors that were recently lifted onboard “Akademik Lomonosov” at the Baltisky Zavod has a power output of 35 MWe. The reactors were assembled and tested at AtomEnergoProekt in Nizhniy Novgorod before being shipped to the yard outside St. Petersburg.
