New Unmanned Surface Vessel Takes Shape off Singapore
Zycraft Pte. Ltd. (Zycraft) hsaid it completed Phase 1 development of the Vigilant Class Independent Unmanned Surface Vessel. A lead vessel named the LongRunner has already completed over 24 months of inwater testing in Singapore waters and traveled a total of 2000 nautical miles. During this period, the vessel also participated in several Fleet Battle Experiments and demonstrated continuous unmanned operations exceeding 48 hours and traveled 100 nautical miles into the South China Sea.

LR Class New Brazil-bound Damen PSV's
'World Diamond', the first of a series of six uniquely designed platform supply vessels (PSV), was christened recently by the ship’s godmother, Princess Margareta of Romania, at Damen Shipyards’ Galati in Romania. Each of these PSVs is classed by Lloyd’s Register and is of 3,300 dwt with a breadth of 16.2 metres and draught of 6.5 metres. The remaining five PSVs will be delivered to their owner, Norwegian offshore support company, World Wide Supply AS (WWS), later this year.
ABB Commissions North Sea Wind Energy Link
ABB commissions Thornton Bank wind farm connection in the North Sea which will see 325 megawatts of clean wind energy integrated into the Belgian grid. The project was completed ahead of schedule. The Thornton Bank wind farm was inaugurated by the Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo, adding more than 1,000 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity generation capacity per year to the Belgian grid. This is the equivalent to the annual power consumption of about 300,000 households in Belgium.
Detained China Cruise Ship Released
The Chinese Consulate General in Jeju Island has confirmed that the detained Chinese cruise liner 'Henna' has left the island for China after posting a bond to the Jeju court, reports Xinhua. The Henna is expected to arrive in Tianjin on Wednesday morning, 18, September 2013. HNA Tourism, the Beijing-based operator of the vessel, posted a bond of US$ 2.8 million for the release of the ship. All the 1,659 passengers have left Jeju reports Xinhua.
