Klϋber Lubrication, a worldwide manufacturer of specialty lubricants, announced that Ron Person has joined its North American operations as director of business development for oil and gas. A printed copy of the Seaway Handbook can be produced by printing the individual PDF files found on the web site (or found on the DVD). A special version of the Seaway General Plans in PDF format is provided to permit printing on letter sized (8.5 by 11 inch) paper.
FRC International Launch WBV Courses in Canada
FRC International is running the first program of ‘Back To Back’ Whole Boat Vibration (WBV) courses in Canada this April. The lead for these courses is Canadian Coast Guard and Canadian Navy. These courses are part of improving sea safety and are open to all interested parties. The object is to include all organizations operating RHIBs and planing craft. HMC’s Aegir Arrives in the Netherlands
Heerema Marine Contractor’s new Deepwater Construction Vessel Aegir arrived in Rotterdam’s Caland Canal after a journey of almost two months from the DSME shipyard in Okpo, South Korea where it was built. The 210m long and 46.2m wide vessel will move to the Huisman yard in Schiedam in April where the pipelay equipment will be installed. Aegir is scheduled to start work on its first installation project (Anadarko Lucius) in the Gulf of Mexico in the fourth quarter of 2013.
