Ingram promotes Crystal Taylor to Senior Vice President and Controller. Ingram Barge Company today announced the promotion of Crystal Taylor to Senior Vice President and Controller effective June 1. Ms. Taylor joined Ingram in 1993 as a staff accountant at Ingram Book Company. She transferred to Ingramās marine group in 2003 as Director of Financial Projects and was named Vice President for Finance and Accounting in 2011. She will succeed Al Oldham who is retiring. Mr.

On May 18th 2012, at a ceremony on the banks of the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon, Capilano Maritime Design Ltd. was pleased to attend the christening of their latest design of an 80āfoot Columbia Class ASD ShipāDocking Tug, SOMMER S, for Shaver Transportation Company of Portland, Oregon. The tug was built by Diversified Marine Inc., also of Portland, and is the most powerful in Shaverās fleet.

The California State University Board of Trustees has named Thomas A. Cropper, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy, as president of California Maritime Academy. "I am pleased and honored to be chosen as the next president of the California Maritime Academy, and look forward to working closely with the exceptional students, staff and faculty," said Cropper. Cropper was among the finalists for the position to succeed retiring President William B. Eisenhardt, who has served as president since 2001.

The Igor Belousov, currently under construction, will have two ARS-600 two-seat submersibles, designed to perform an array of functions, including search, rescue and salvage of submarines in distress. The Russian Defense Ministry decided in 2011 to equip the ship with a deep-sea diving system produced by Scottish firm DIVEX, which will be delivered, installed, and tested by experts from a Russian company, Tetis Pro.

Northern Fleet (NF) diesel electric submarine B-800 Kaluga has left the covered slipway for further launching after modernization at defense shipyard Zvezdochka (Severodvinsk). The submarine is expected to join the Russian Navy by the end of the current year. "She is going to be the first non-nuclear submarine modernized by Zvezdochka for Russian Navy in the recent 20 years", pointed out the shipyard's press service. The submarine has stayed at the shipyard's quay for 9 years pending repairs.
