We need marine engineering officers and other maintenance engineers to continue operating and maintaining the vessel says OM Ships. Rolls-Royce Powers World's Largest Construction Vessel

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has delivered 13 large azimuth thrusters to the worldâs largest construction vessel, currently being built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, South Korea for Swiss ship owner and operator Allseas Group. The contract is worth around £18 million and is the largest ever Rolls-Royce thruster order for a single vessel. The thrusters rotate 360 degrees and propel and position the ship, which measures 382 metres in length and 117 metres in width.

ACP Completes First Monolith at Pacific Locks

A new milestone was reached at the Panama Canal, after completing the construction of the first monolith for the new locks on the Pacific end of the Panama Canal. This monolith is the first one to be completed from a total of 46 such structures being built in the Pacific locks upper chamber. The term monolith refers to each of the sections in which the lock walls are being divided to facilitate their construction.
