Statoil's oil and gas production in North America continues to show strong growth. In the last decade, Statoil's North American portfolio had a Compound Annual Growth Rate of more than 20% and the company projects a strong growth rate also going forward. "Average production from our US and Canadian fields in the first quarter 2012 was 149,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day ā up as much as 75% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2011.
Rolls-Royce to Power The Worldās Largest Construction Vessel

Rolls-Royce has delivered 13 large azimuth thrusters to the worldās largest construction vessel, currently being built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, South Korea for Swiss ship owner and operator Allseas Group. The contract is worth around £18 million and is the largest ever Rolls-Royce thruster order for a single vessel. The thrusters rotate 360 degrees and propel and position the ship, which measures 382 metres in length and 117 metres in width.
