Rig Owner Gets $34m for 60-day Charter
Chariot’s wholly-owned subsidiary Enigma Oil & Gas has chartered the rig for two months to drill a single well on the Tapir South prospect, off Namibia. The Maersk Deliverer is an ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig, capable of operating in water depths of 10,000 feet and drilling to a depth of up to 30,000 feet. The rig has been operating off West Africa since Maersk took delivery in 2010 and most recently at the Narina-1 wildcat on Block LB-9, off Liberia struck oil.

Natural Gas Engine Development in China
China Yuchai International Limited sayst its subsidiary Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited (GYMCL) is developing natural gas-powered engines. The new engines will complement GYMCL's line of diesel engines used in large buses, trucks, power generators and marine engines. The gas-powered engines are being developed in response to government policies encouraging energy conservation and emissions reduction.
Mississippi River Boat Clone Nears Completion
American Cruise Lines announce the latest development in the construction of its brand new authentic 150-passenger paddlewheeler, the Queen of the Mississippi, as it nears completion at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland. Last week, the massive 23-ton, 28 foot-wide paddlewheel built specially for the new riverboat was lifted and installed. “This marks an important step in the creation of this authentic riverboat,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President of American Cruise Lines.

ABB has won an order worth around $15 million from E.ON UK, to supply the power export cables for the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm. When completed, in 2015, Humber Gateway will consist of a 73 wind turbine array that will generate up to 219 MW of electricity, enough to power up to 170,000 homes. The wind farm will be located 8 km off the East Yorkshire coast, just north of the mouth of the river Humber.

This makes the process much more efficient and environmentally friendly. The new Nozzle Spinning Machine can deliver nozzles up to 4.5 m at short notice.
