Resolve Marine Group has opened a New Orleans base of operations at 643 Magazine Street, Suite 304. The marine salvage, firefighting and emergency response company is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and maintains operations in Theodore, Ala., as well as London, UK and in Singapore. The New Orleans location strengthens Resolve’s commitment to the maritime industry in the Gulf states and expands the marine salvor’s reach along the Gulf Coast and into the Mississippi River corridor.

Jumbo Offshore Completes Wind Farm Project
Jumbo Offshore has completed its TP-installation project for the Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm (GGOWF), off the UK’s south-east coast. For client Fluor, Jumbo’s DP2 Heavy Lift Vessel Jumbo Javelin installed 131 TP’s (out of 140 in the field) with a record-breaking installation speed of more than one TP per day. The job included leveling and grouting operations and was done without any serious accidents or incidents.
Topaz Delivers $75M Oil & Gas Project
Topaz Energy and Marine announced the project delivery of the deck structure of a Mobile Offshore Production Unit and storage (MOPUstor). The MOPUstor deck was constructed by Topaz Fabrication and Construction; part of the Topaz Engineering division under a subcontract from Single Buoy Moorings Inc for its client, Talisman Energy Norge AS. The value of Topaz Engineering’s portion of the work was $75m.

Blowout Preventer Arrives at NASA for Analysis
According to a September 12 report from the Associated Press, Coast Guard official said the 300-ton device that failed to stop the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill after a rig exploded has arrived at a NASA facility in Louisiana for analysis.
