Blount Boats Delivers Sister Ship to Wendella
The 89-ft steel excursion boat, Linnea built by Blount Boats for Wendella Sightseeing Company was completed and accepted on July 20, 2010. The vessel was delivered to Chicago via Erie Canal and began service on July 30th. Resolve Rescues Two Tankers in Texas
Resolve Salvage & Fire (Americas), Inc., a subsidiary of Resolve Marine Group, responded to two OPA-90 client tankers offshore and in the Houston-Galveston Ship Channel in July. Resolve had responded to another tanker incident in January 2010, off Port Arthur, Texas. On July 14, 2010, Resolve successfully refloated a 22,377dwt chemical tanker, which had grounded in Galveston Bay, Texas as it lost steerage while leaving the port.
STX Norway Offshore to Build AHT Supply Vessels
STX Norway Offshore has through its subsidiary STX Brazil Offshore entered into two new contracts for Norskan Offshore for the building of two Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) of AH 11 design. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2012 and 2013. These vessels are the first of the new AH 11 design from STX Norway Offshore Design in Ålesund, designed with special focus on deep water operations.
