Chesapeake Shipbuilding Delivers New Tugs
Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corp of Salisbury, MD delivered the second of six new tugboats to Vane Brothers of Baltimore, Md. this week. Elk River will join Sassafras, the first tug that Chesapeake built for Vane Brothers, in hauling 30,000 barrel tank barges on near coastal routes. Construction is already well underway on the remaining four tugs, each of which will be delivered over the next year and a half.

T&T Bisso Serves Cook Inlet & Alaska Areas

PacifiCat Ferries Sold

Floating LNG Contracts to Technip, Samsung
Shell Gas & Power Developments BV signed a master agreement with a consortium comprising Technip and Samsung for the design, construction and installation of multiple floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facilities over a period of up to fifteen years. Shell and Technip-Samsung also signed a contract for execution of the front end engineering and design (FEED) for Shell's 3.5 million tonne per annum (mtpa) FLNG solution.
