OceanSaver to Deliver First Commercial Order to Höegh
OceanSaver announces that its ballast water treatment system has formalized an order by Höegh Fleet Services for 10 such systems on its managed fleet of car and gas carriers.
Utility Tug for Sealink
Building to their own account, Sealink Sdn Bhd of Miri Sarawak East Malyasia are nearing completion of a 3600 hp utility tug. The 40 by 11.8-meter Sealink Maju 8 will be powered by a pair of Cummins KTA50 M2 engines each generating 1800 hp at 1800 RPM. The engines turn fiexed pitch four-blade propellers in nozzles through Twin Disc 5507 gears. To give the tug a bollard pull of approximately 45 tons. A pair of Cummins powered 150 kW generators provides electrical power.
RINA Launches ILO Notation

Keppel to Build ENSCO Semisubmersible Rig
Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has won a contract to build a $537m ultra-deepwater semisubmersible (semi) drilling rig from a subsidiary of ENSCO International Incorporated (ENSCO). This contract follows shortly after of the award of the fifth semi, ENSCO 8504, that was announced on May 6, 2008. This latest rig, ENSCO 8505, is the sixth consecutive semi of the ENSCO 8500 Series® that Keppel FELS is constructing, and is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2012.

On Friday, May 30, New York Maritime Inc. president Peter Shaerf (center) opened the NASDAQ stock exchange in New York City, highlighting the growing importance of the marine industry in the equity markets globally.
