UECC Orders Dual-Fuel Ice-classed PCTCs
United European Car Carriers (UECC), jointly owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Wallenius Lines, inform it has signed a contract to construct two triple-fuel LNG Pure Car & Truck Carriers (PCTCs). The contract has been signed with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and the vessels will be constructed at the NACKS shipyard in Nantong, China which is a joint venture between KHI and China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company. ABS to Release LNG Bunkering Report at CMA 2014
Classification society ABS inform that on Tuesday, 18 March 2014, ABS Vice President for Global Gas Solution Patrick Janssens will present an ABS report entitled Bunkering of Liquefied Natural-Gas Fueled Marine Vessels in North America at CMA’s Shipping 2014. Latest Global Ocean Trade Shipbuilding Orders
Clarkson Hellas notes that Oldendorff Carriers have declared their options for six 64,000 DWT Ultramax at Qingshan Shipyard and one 94,000 DWT self-unloader at Jiangsu New YZJ. Pricing was not disclosed, but delivery is reported to be from 4Q in 2016 for the Ultramax and due in 2Q 2015 for the self-unloader.
